We are an Artificial Intelligence startup focused on solving complex, high-impact problems.
We built Tela to be the reference for enterprise AI: embedded teams and a platform operating at the frontier of technology, inside organizations that cannot afford to stop evolving.
We call this approach Adoption in Motion — AIM: continuous adoption, never limited to a project with an end date.
Two years in, we are already embedded in the operations of leading companies across financial services, energy, telecom, and other sectors.
Judicial calculation is one of the frontiers we are automating end to end, transforming one of the most technical, critical, and sensitive processes in the legal and financial sectors into an AI-native product.
We are looking for a Security Engineer to help us scale security operations at Tela, with a focus on identity, access management, corporate devices, automation, and operational compliance evidence.
This person will work closely with our Security Lead and partner with Engineering, People, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Delivery teams to make security processes more reliable, traceable, and scalable.
What You'll Do
- Operate and improve onboarding, offboarding, and access change processes.
- Manage access across corporate tools such as Google Workspace and other internal platforms.
- Support privileged access governance, service accounts, API keys, and sensitive credentials.
- Help manage the full lifecycle of corporate devices, including procurement, preparation, shipping, inventory, return, and secure cleanup.
- Support and improve endpoint security, MDM, DLP, and corporate security tooling.
- Build scripts, small automations, and integrations to reduce manual work across access management, inventory, evidence collection, and operational routines.
- Support infrastructure-as-code workflows related to IAM, corporate security tooling, and internal integrations using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or similar.
- Maintain operational records and compliance evidence related to access reviews, offboarding, devices, and corporate security controls.
- Document internal security processes clearly so they can be reused, audited, and improved over time.
- Work with AI tools as part of day-to-day work to accelerate investigation, automation, documentation, and operational analysis.
What We Expect
- Experience with security operations, IAM, IT operations, or corporate systems administration.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and identity/access management tools.
- Practical experience or strong interest in MDM, DLP, endpoint security, and corporate device management.
- Ability to write simple scripts and automations using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Bash, or similar languages.
- Basic understanding of APIs, tool integrations, and workflow automation.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar tools.
- Ability to work effectively with AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, documentation, and automation.
- Strong organizational skills to manage recurring processes, inventories, audit evidence, and operational controls.
- Clear communication and ability to turn ad hoc requests into structured, trackable processes.
What This Role Is Not Focused On
This is not primarily a pentest, threat modeling, incident response, cloud alert triage, or vulnerability management role.
Those areas are led by the Security Lead, with support from this person when needed.
Why This Role Exists
Today, many critical security operations still depend on manual work:
- Granting and removing access
- Making sure offboarding is complete
- Managing devices
- Reviewing permissions
- Organizing evidence
- Keeping corporate security controls consistent
We want someone who can help turn these routines into safer, more automated, and more scalable processes, allowing the Security team to spend more time on engineering, risk, and strategic security work.
How We Operate
Tela is a high-agency environment. Five principles you'll feel from day one:
- Ownership is total. If it's yours, it's yours. Outcomes included.
- Overdelivery through thinking: the fastest path is rarely the obvious one. Push back on work that isn't worth the time, and find the better version of it.
- Candor runs both ways. We'll tell you straight when you're great and when you're not. You're expected to do the same.
- Assume intent. When something's breaking, the first question is "how do I help?"
- Embrace ambiguity: move forward without perfect information, structuring problems and paths to solutions as you go.
- Purpose over momentum. We don't do things just because they're in front of us.
Inside Tela, everyone is a chef. A form of respect that recognizes every role as essential to the final result, and a reminder that the standard we hold ourselves to is a 3-Michelin-star experience.
What You'll Get
- Market-leading compensation
- Equity upside — Grow with the company you help build
- Global product exposure — Your work will impact clients worldwide
- PTO — Recharge when you need it
- Direct access to founders — Real influence over our roadmap
